The novel The Cat and the Dragon has been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation. Along with this announcement, a teaser video and two celebratory illustrations have been unveiled.

This popular fantasy story portrays the mysterious bond between a dragon raised by cats, the feline community, and humans. It is a touching yet slightly bittersweet tale. Originally published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, the novel gained attention for achieving an exceptional feat—ranking No. 1 in the platform’s daily rankings for short stories.

As of now, the series has released seven novel volumes, three paperback editions, and ten manga volumes. With the upcoming release of The Cat and the Dragon: The Dragon’s Matchmaking and the Flying Cat (paperback edition) on March 5, the total circulation—including novels, manga, and digital editions—will surpass one million copies.

The newly released teaser video features numerous manga illustrations and showcases various scenes. At the end of the video, fans are treated to an exclusive voice recording of Cat Dragon. However, the voice actor for Cat Dragon has yet to be revealed, adding to the anticipation for further updates on the anime adaptation.
