Original Anime Apocalypse Hotel Air Date Announced – Character Designs by Izumi Takemoto Revealed

CyberAgent and CygamesPictures’ original TV anime Apocalypse Hotel is set to premiere on April 8 at 1:34 AM (JST) on Nippon TV and other networks. Alongside the announcement, new illustrations from Izumi Takemoto, the series' character designer, were also unveiled, offering a sneak peek at the spin-off manga adaptation.

A Hotel at the End of the World

The story takes place on Earth long after humanity has disappeared. In the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, the hotel “Gingaro” continues to operate, staffed by a group of hospitality robots led by Yachiyo. Despite the absence of guests, they maintain the hotel, patiently awaiting their owner's return and the possible resurgence of humanity. However, an unexpected small miracle is about to unfold in their seemingly endless routine.


Upcoming Events & Special Screenings

The anime will have a special stage event at AnimeJapan 2025 on March 23 at the Nippon TV × VAP booth, featuring voice actress Saho Shirasuna (Yachiyo). A new promotional video and additional pre-broadcast details will also be revealed during the event.

Furthermore, a special premiere screening of episodes 1 to 3 will take place at United Cinema Toyosu in Tokyo on March 29, featuring a talk session with the cast, including Saho Shirasuna. Attendees will receive an exclusive postcard set as a special entry gift.

A spin-off manga titled Apocalypse Hotel Pusu-Pusu, illustrated by Izumi Takemoto, has also been confirmed. The manga will be serialized on the Storia Dash digital platform starting April 2025, and the first official artwork has been released to mark the occasion.
