The highly popular Macross series will reveal new details about its latest anime on March 2. The announcement will be made during the special live broadcast "Macross × Sunrise New Project Special" on ABEMA, starting at 7:00 PM JST. The program will feature Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier - Ranka Lee) and Minori Suzuki (Macross ⊿ - Freyja Wion), with Nippon Broadcasting System announcer Naoki Yoshida as the MC.

The upcoming Macross project was initially announced on June 4, 2023, during the WALKÜRE FINAL LIVE TOUR 2023 Last Mission event, confirming that Sunrise (Bandai Namco Filmworks) would be producing the latest anime in the franchise.

Additionally, starting March 2 at 1:00 AM JST, ABEMA will launch a limited-time Macross Channel, streaming all four TV anime series in a marathon format. On the same day, a special program will feature all opening and ending theme sequences from the Macross TV series.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2022, the Macross franchise began with Super Dimension Fortress Macross (1982) and has since expanded with multiple TV anime, OVAs, and theatrical films.

As a landmark in sci-fi anime, Macross is known for its unique blend of music, transforming Valkyrie mecha action, and romantic love triangles, creating an iconic and dynamic universe.
