Netflix’s Live-Action Adaptation of the Legendary Classic Glass Heart Premieres in July 2025
At the Next on Netflix showcase held in Tokyo on February 12, Netflix officially announced that the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Glass Heart will premiere worldwide in July 2025. Two exclusive scene stills from the series were also revealed.

Based on the long-running novel series by Mio Wakagi, Glass Heart has been serialized since 1993, earning a reputation as a timeless masterpiece. This Netflix adaptation brings the epic music drama to life on an unprecedented scale.
Leading the cast is Takeru Satoh, who serves as the creator, co-producer, and lead actor, portraying the brilliant yet solitary musical genius, Naoki Fujitani.
The role of Akane Saijo, a gifted drummer who becomes the story’s heroine, was secured through a competitive audition process by Yu Miyazaki.

🎸 Akane Saijo, a university student and drummer, is suddenly expelled from her band for unfair reasons. Devastated, she is unexpectedly scouted by Naoki Fujitani, a legendary musician known as the "Amadeus of Rock."
As she joins his newly formed band, she encounters a diverse and intense lineup of musicians:
