"My Hero Academia Memories" is a special edition that mixes new scenes with key past episodes, leading into the 7th season of the anime starting May 4. The episode airing on the 27th, "Tomura Shigaraki: Destruction," as the subtitle suggests, features Tomura Shigaraki, who stands as the greatest obstacle and deadliest villain for the heroes in season 7. It delves into his transformation from Shimura Tenko to Tomura Shigaraki, driven by his impulse and belief to "destroy everything." The upcoming episode's preview is narrated by Koki Uchiyama, the voice of Shigaraki, marking his first such narration since episode 28 of the second season aired in 2017. The series is based on a popular manga that has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation. Set in a world where people commonly possess superpowers known as "Quirks," it follows the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (Deku), as he grows with his classmates at the prestigious hero academy, U.A. High School, striving to become a "Hero" who protects society and combats criminals using their Quirks for evil. The manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since July 2014, and the first season of the TV anime started in April 2016, with movie adaptations also released. The latest series, "My Hero Academia" Season 7, will start airing on May 4.
