What’s Next for Mai Zenin’s Performance?

Following the Shibuya Incident, it is revealed that Naobito Zenin has died. In his will, Naobito initially designates Naoya Zenin as the next head of the Zenin clan. However, his will also contains a clause stating that if Satoru Gojo becomes incapacitated, Megumi Fushiguro will be brought into the Zenin clan and inherit the entire estate.

Taking advantage of this, Maki gains access to the Zenin family’s cursed tool storage. Meanwhile, Mai is already engaged in battle against their father, Ogi Zenin. Maki joins the fight, but Ogi, a Special Grade 1 Sorcerer, overpowers them both.

Ogi’s true intention is to eliminate Fushiguro, Maki, and Mai, labeling them as traitors for their potential role in Gojo's release.
In a shared consciousness, Mai and Maki have a final conversation about their techniques. Mai explains that since Maki was born without an innate technique, her own technique is meaningless. She then declares,

"If I create this (sword) ... I'm gonna die."

Before vanishing, Mai leaves Maki with one final wish:

"Please Destroy... everything. And I mean everything, Big sis.?"

When Maki awakens, she finds herself holding a cursed sword—Mai’s final creation.

Fueled by rage and grief, Maki massacres the entire Zenin clan, fulfilling her sister’s last wish.
