Stardust Affiliate Launches Unprecedented Comic Business, Developing Manga with Live-Action Potential Using Talent Power

Stardust Promotion's affiliated company, SDP, has launched an unusual venture into the comic industry with the introduction of the live-action comic label "BeSTAR comics" on the 26th. The company has kicked off its full-scale entry into the comic business by releasing two digital comics, "Kara-chan and Sito-san, and" and "Hermit Crab," exclusively on Comic Seymour. Leveraging its experience in publishing and film production, SDP is developing manga projects from the planning stage with an eye toward live-action adaptation.

The genres to be explored include romance, romantic comedy, BL, school, human drama, family drama, sports, suspense, mystery, horror, action, sci-fi, period drama, and comedy. Stardust Promotion, with over 1,000 affiliated talents, is also considering live adaptations, with future plans to involve readers in projects through auditions and voting to determine characters, live-action actors and actresses, and theme songs.

The first release includes "Kara-chan and Sito-san, and" and "Hermit Crab." Both series started their exclusive pre-release serialization on Comic Seymour on the 26th, with plans to release new episodes bi-weekly.

A series featuring Kara-chan, who loves food, and Sito-san, who loves saunas. The story unfolds as they tour private saunas nationwide and share delicious meals, offering readers a sense of companionship. Through the casual exchanges between these two handsome characters, the manga delivers ultimate relaxation and explores desirable relationships and travel styles in an era prioritizing personal preferences. The blissful everyday stories centered on "saunas" and "food" promise a thorough refreshment of mind and body. The more you read, the more you'll root for this opposites-attract handsome duo.

The script for the original story is handled by Minato Takano, who has written for the MBS and TBS drama "Kakegurui" and other productions like "Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!" and the NTV Sunday drama "Shin Hanzai Flag." The manga is illustrated by Futonchirashi, making their serial debut with a delicate touch that uniquely captures the characters' textures.

A thrilling brain-revenge suspense story about a young man with strong morals and political ambitions who finds his brain swapped with a ruthless yakuza. After disowning his corrupt politician father, Kentaro Isoroku is hit by a car and wakes up in the body of Ryuji Takayama, a gang member accused of murder, in front of a police station. Arrested as Takayama, Kentaro, now stripped of his body, lover, and status, vows revenge against the real Kentaro Isoroku living as Takayama. The story unfolds as a man who has lost everything bets his life on reclaiming what was stolen from him.

The original work is authored by Hiraku Nakamura, who won the Excellence Award and Web Reader's Award at the 7th "This Mystery is Amazing!" Grand Prize in 2008 for his novel "Reigan." The manga is illustrated by Bull, who debuted with "Pickup" (under the pen name Hiroichi Fukuda, original story by Shohei Manabe).
