Three Core Pillars of LDH Animation

1. Anime Production
LDH Animation will develop both original works and adaptations of comics and novels. Leveraging the advanced CG technology of its group company LDH DIGITAL, the brand will adopt the philosophy of "creating from the ground up" to build a robust anime production system.

2. Licensing and Content Expansion
The brand will also emphasize licensing opportunities, collaborating with successful projects like the BATTLE OF TOKYO exhibition held at Shibuya TSUTAYA in May 2024 and the highly popular BATTLE OF TOKYO wafers, which sold over 6 million units. This team will work on anime production committees, fund anime theme songs, and develop merchandise and licensing projects to maximize the value of its creations.

3. Digital Innovation
As part of its broader strategy, LDH Animation will explore expanding its presence in the digital domain, integrating advanced technologies to reach new audiences worldwide.

Leadership Backed by Industry Veterans

To ensure the brand’s success, LDH has appointed two prominent advisors:

Koji Hoshino, former president of Walt Disney Japan and Studio Ghibli
Masahiko Ibaraki, former editor-in-chief of Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump SQ and an executive at Shueisha

Their expertise in animation production, publishing, and international business will be invaluable as LDH Animation takes its first steps.

A Unified Future for LDH’s Creative Efforts

From January 1, 2025, LDH DIGITAL will merge with LDH Japan, transferring its animation, CG production, and creative functions to LDH Animation. This consolidation aims to strengthen the group’s creative capabilities and streamline operations under the new brand.
