The story and scene previews for Episode 12 of the anime Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (EP12 title: "I Believe in the Heliocentric Theory") have been released. Episode 12 is scheduled to broadcast on NHK General TV on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:45 PM. Following each broadcast, the episode will be available for worldwide streaming on Netflix and for free on ABEMA.

Jolanta’s father turns out to be none other than Novak. When Novak hears about Badeni’s astronomical research, he insists on investigating the matter. Left with no choice, Badeni takes Novak to his study. Novak thoroughly searches the room and finds no evidence of heretical research. However, he secretly grows suspicious after discovering something that shouldn’t have been there. As Novak’s doubts deepen, the greatest crisis looms over Badeni and Oczy.

About Orb: On the Movements of the Earth

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is based on the manga of the same name by Uoto, serialized in Big Spirits Comics (published by Shogakukan). It is a highly acclaimed work, having won the Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards.

Set in 15th-century Europe, during a time when heretical ideas were punished by burning at the stake, the story follows those who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory, which challenged the dominant geocentric worldview.

The prodigy Rafał is expected to major in theology, but one day, a mysterious man researching a "heretical truth" appears before him.
