Orb: On the Movements of the Earth - Episode 9 Story
Count Piast, the head of the Astronomical Research Institute, has devoted his remaining days to perfecting the "proof of the geocentric model" that he inherited from the previous professor. He initially refuses Badeni and his group's request to share his celestial observation records, but later agrees under a certain condition. The condition is to observe something that should be impossible to see—"a full Venus," which he once claimed to have observed.
Now entrusted with this major task, can Oczy bear the weight of this heavy responsibility?
About Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is based on the manga of the same name by Uoto, serialized in Big Spirits Comics (published by Shogakukan). It is a highly acclaimed work, having won the Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards.
Set in 15th-century Europe, during a time when heretical ideas were punished by burning at the stake, the story follows those who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory, which challenged the dominant geocentric worldview.
The prodigy Rafał is expected to major in theology, but one day, a mysterious man researching a "heretical truth" appears before him.
