The beloved BL manga DAKAICHI -I'm being harassed by the sexiest man of the year- (Dakaichi) is set to be adapted into a live-action drama in Thailand. Starring rising actors Smart and Boom, the series will premiere on WeTV in 2025.

The drama is being produced by WeTV, a leading streaming platform in Asia, in collaboration with China's prominent Tailai Entertainment. Fans can expect a high-quality adaptation that captures the essence of the original manga.

What is DAKAICHI About?

The story follows Takato Saijo, a five-time consecutive winner of the "Sexiest Man of the Year" title, who is dethroned by a newcomer, Junta Azumaya, a charming rookie actor with only three years in the industry. Initially antagonistic, Takato finds himself at the mercy of Azumaya after a secret is exposed, leading to a steamy and heartfelt BL romance.

Since its debut, DAKAICHI has achieved tremendous success, with over 5 million copies sold. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2018 and received a theatrical film in 2021.
