Part 1 of the final chapter of the anime BEASTARS, titled BEASTARS FINAL SEASON (split into two cours), began streaming on Netflix on December 5. Along with the release, the opening and ending animations were unveiled, alongside details on new characters and their cast.

Houko Kuwashima will voice Leano, Legoshi’s mother and a pivotal character in the "family story." Yuko Minaguchi will play Toki, Legoshi’s grandmother and Gosha’s wife. Tomokazu Seki will portray Deshico, a researcher and civet cat operating in the underworld. Ryuusei Nakao takes on the role of Cornu, a rat intelligence agent supporting the Beastar Yahya. Genki Muro will voice Sunaga, a barn owl and udon shop owner who employs Legoshi. Ruriko Aoki will portray Azuki, Louis’ fiancée, and Tomokazu Sugita will voice Holger, a mysterious sloth tattoo artist.

The concluding chapter, BEASTARS FINAL SEASON, continues the story from the second season. After leaving school, Legoshi ventures into society to start a new life. As Legoshi, Haru, and Louis embark on separate paths, the Beastars—a group tasked with maintaining order in their world—begin investigating the truth behind a surge in predation-related murders.

Set in a world where anthropomorphic carnivores and herbivores coexist, BEASTARS is a complex ensemble drama centered around the lives of students at a boarding school. The original manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from September 2016 to October 2020, has won multiple awards, including the Manga Taisho Award 2018. The manga has sold over 10 million copies. The first season of the anime aired from October to December 2019, and the second season aired from January to March 2021 on Fuji TV and other networks.
