The popular manga Oshi no Ko, written by Akasaka Aka and illustrated by Yokoyari Mengo, reached its final chapter in the November 14th issue of Weekly Young Jump (Issue 50). After a successful four-and-a-half-year run since its debut in April 2020, Akasaka expressed gratitude to fans on X (formerly Twitter).

About Oshi no Ko

Oshi no Ko explores the highs and lows of the entertainment industry. The story follows Gorou, an OB-GYN who idolizes starlet Ai Hoshino. Aka Akasaka began serializing his representative work Kaguya-sama: Love is War in Miracle Jump in May 2015, and in March 2016, the series moved to Weekly Young Jump, marking his first weekly serialization. He started Oshi no Ko in April 2020 in collaboration with Mengo Yokoyari. Despite simultaneously serializing two works, Kaguya-sama concluded in November 2022. Since then, Akasaka has focused on his career as a manga story writer.
