B-Komachi’s “Twilight”: A Game-Changing MV
The idol group B-Komachi in Oshi no Ko, featuring Ruby (Nagisa Saito), Kana (Nohana Hara), and MEM-cho (Ano), premieres their second original song, “Twilight,” in this MV. In the story, this music video, shot by MEM-cho’s friend and creator Anemone Monemone, goes viral, skyrocketing the group’s popularity. It marks a pivotal moment for B-Komachi as they take a major step toward stardom.
SEE’s “Twilight” – An Emotionally Charged Ballad
Unlike their previous track “We Are the Invincible Idols!!,” known for its upbeat tempo and lively lyrics, “Twilight” is a heartfelt medium-tempo tune. Written and composed by SEE, an emerging Vocaloid producer with Puzzle Project, the song captures the sincerity and dreams of the young idols. The melody and lyrics reflect B-Komachi’s journey and devotion, showing a more personal, introspective side of their characters.
MV Highlights – B-Komachi’s Story of Dreams and Struggles
Directed by Kana Matsumoto, also the director of the series, the MV shows B-Komachi in familiar school settings, featuring warm scenes like blackboard doodling, snack parties, and pajama-filled fun. The cheerful energy shifts in the latter half, with a hauntingly intense gaze from Ruby (played by Nagisa Saito). This sudden shift hints at deeper emotions and the challenges of idol life, leaving fans eagerly speculating about her character’s journey.
