The largest-ever Animate Girls Festival 2024 (AGF2024), dedicated to anime, comics, voice acting, goods, otome games, and cosplay, was held in the Ikebukuro area from November 9-10. The event, celebrating its 15th anniversary, attracted an impressive 155,982 attendees.

Event Highlights: A Colorful 15th Anniversary Celebration

With the theme “Colorful,” this year’s AGF aimed to fill attendees with joy and excitement, creating vibrant memories for fans. The main venue, Ikebukuro Sunshine City, hosted 45,414 visitors (up 109.6% from last year), while the entire festival saw a record 155,982 attendees. Additionally, online participation, including live-streamed events from the Fountain Plaza stage, attracted 343,143 viewers.

Main Venue & Events

AGF2024 featured 97 booths in Sunshine City, with exclusive merchandise and displays centered around anime and games. The event included appearances from voice actors and popular character mascots, filling each booth with activity throughout the day.

Special Campaigns and Pre-Event Activities

This year, AGF celebrated its milestone with new initiatives like a “Pre-Festival” event and a “Town Campaign,” which included collaborations with popular anime series such as Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan and Bungo Stray Dogs. Through November 17, fans can still participate in the "Collaboration Coaster Giveaway Campaign."
