New information about the original anime LAZARUS (airing and streaming in 2025) has been announced. An action trailer and cast details have been revealed, featuring Mamoru Miyano, Makoto Furukawa, Maaya Uchida, Yuma Uchida, Manaka Iwami, Megumi Hayashibara, Akio Otsuka, and Koichi Yamadera.

The protagonist, Axel, who repeatedly escapes from prison and whose "hobby is escaping," is voiced by Mamoru Miyano. The agents gathered from around the world to join Axel's team "Lazarus" are voiced by Makoto Furukawa, Maaya Uchida, Yuma Uchida, and Manaka Iwami.

The mysterious woman who leads "Lazarus," Harsh, is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara. Abel, the head of the NSA (National Security Agency) who organized Lazarus to chase after Skinner, is voiced by Akio Otsuka, and the developer of Hapuna, the "medicine said to save the world," Skinner, is voiced by Koichi Yamadera.
