Animator Toshinari Yamashita passed away on October 1. This was announced by Zero-G Co., Ltd. on their official website on October 10.

The website stated, “We are deeply saddened to announce that our employee, animator Toshinari Yamashita, who served as character designer for works such as Nanako Kaitai Shinsho and Divergence Eve, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024."

The announcement continued, "We sincerely thank you for your support during his lifetime. The wake and funeral services were held privately at the request of the deceased and their family. We respectfully decline any offerings of condolence or flowers."

In addition to designing characters for Nanako Kaitai Shinsho and Divergence Eve, Yamashita contributed key animation to numerous works including Arc the Lad, Chouja Raideen, Squid Girl, Gintama, The Irregular at Magic High School, and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!. He also served as animation director on many projects.
