Starting on the 11th, advance tickets (MoviTicket cards) will be sold in sequence, with six types of visuals and bonuses. Four of these visuals, known as the “Character Visual Ver.,” will feature each of the characters Oscar, Marie Antoinette, André, and Fersen, showcasing their lives and stories. These tickets will be available exclusively at theater windows, and a special A5-size clear file featuring the elegant art of The Rose of Versailles will be given as a pre-sale bonus. Additionally, two types of visuals, the "Teaser Visual" and "Main Visual Ver.," depicting the world of this new theatrical film, will be sold online starting on the 25th.

The Rose of Versailles is set during the late 18th century, amidst the French Revolution, and tells the story of Oscar François de Jarjayes, a beautiful woman raised as a "son" to inherit a noble family's legacy, and the innocent queen Marie Antoinette, who came from neighboring Austria. It is a tale of love and fate, with characters trying to navigate the turbulent times while living their lives with passion. Originally serialized in Weekly Margaret (Shueisha) from 1972 to 1973, the manga has been collected into 10 volumes of Margaret Comics. In 2014, four new volumes were released, marking the first new episodes in 40 years, and the total circulation of the series has surpassed 20 million copies.

Often regarded as a pioneer of media mix adaptations, The Rose of Versailles was adapted into a Takarazuka Revue stage production in 1974, followed by a TV anime in 1979, and a film in 1990, sparking widespread social phenomena. This new theatrical anime is a completely original production by MAPPA, the studio known for works such as Jujutsu Kaisen.
