Warner Bros. Japan's animation production department has unveiled the character designs and cast information for Joker and Harley Quinn in the original animation Ninja Batman vs. Yakuza League.

Joker, who caused chaos in the Sengoku period under the alias “Demon King of the Sixth Heaven,” and his partner Harley Quinn return in Ninja Batman vs. Yakuza League, following their appearance in the previous Ninja Batman. The character design is handled by Takashi Okazaki. Joker is dressed in a purple tokko-fuku (special attack uniform) adorned with bold “Yankee” kanji like "鬼魔愚零道化師" (Devilish Mad Clown) and "暴笑鬼族" (Laughing Demon Clan). Harley Quinn sports a long skirt and crouches in a classic yankee pose, making them the most aggressive characters in DC history. What kind of tricksters will these two play in the intense battle between Batman's family and the Yakuza League? Wataru Takagi reprises his role as Joker, and Rie Kugimiya returns as Harley Quinn, both from the original Ninja Batman.

About Ninja Batman vs. Yakuza League

This Japanese animation originated from the concept of Batman x Ninja. In the previous installment, Batman was sent back in time to the Sengoku period, where he faced off against warlord versions of the Joker and other villains in an original story. Released in 2018, the film received widespread acclaim, particularly in North America. The latest film reunites the creative team, including directors Junpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, writer Kazuki Nakashima, character designer Takashi Okazaki, and animation studio Kamikaze Douga.
