[Japan Travel] USJ Hollywood Dream Ride to Feature Chainsaw Man with Kenshi Yonezu's "KICK BACK" - Samurai Sword vs. Chainsaw
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Konohana Ward, Osaka, announced on the 5th a new collaboration with the TV anime "Chainsaw Man" for their "Halloween Horror Nights" event, running from September 6 to November 4.
The collaboration with the "Hollywood Dream - The Ride" attraction has been confirmed. The TV anime "Chainsaw Man" opening theme, "KICK BACK" by Kenshi Yonezu, will be featured for a limited time. Visitors can enjoy the thrilling and exhilarating experience of the ride, accompanied by the intense interaction between Chainsaw Man and Samurai Sword, both of whom also appear in the anime. The attraction will be named "Chainsaw Man × Hollywood Dream - The Ride KICK BACK: Samurai Sword vs. Chainsaw ver.".
The backward-facing version of the ride, "Hollywood Dream - The Ride Backdrop," will also feature a collaboration with the high-intensity song, offering a fast-paced and exciting experience titled "Chainsaw Man × Hollywood Dream - The Ride KICK BACK."
"Chainsaw Man" is a popular work with over 27 million copies of the original manga in circulation. A theatrical film, "Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc," is set to be produced in December 2023, adding to its popularity.
The story follows a boy named Denji, who lives as a devil hunter alongside the "Chainsaw Devil" Pochita. Struggling with a life of poverty to pay off the debts left by his parents, Denji is betrayed and killed. In his fading consciousness, he makes a contract with Pochita, and is resurrected as "Chainsaw Man," a being with the heart of a devil.
