The Netflix series "Terminator 0" will be exclusively streamed on Netflix starting August 29. The key visuals and the Japanese voice cast have been revealed.

In 1984, James Cameron directed and wrote "The Terminator," a film that propelled Arnold Schwarzenegger to global fame. This iconic sci-fi action film series is now getting its first animated adaptation. Set in 1997, the story takes place during the "Judgment Day" when the self-aware AI Skynet launches a nuclear war against humanity.

Scientist Malcolm Lee is researching a new AI called "Kokoro" to counter Skynet. However, a Terminator from the future arrives to assassinate Malcolm and halt the completion of this system. Amidst this chaos, a resistance fighter named Eiko also time-travels to join the battle. Can humanity change the fate of the world?

Yasuhiro Mamiya voices the cold and ruthless Terminator who will stop at nothing to kill Malcolm. The crucial character Malcolm, targeted by the Terminator, is voiced by Yuya Uchida. Atsumi Tanezaki voices Kokoro, the AI system developed by Malcolm, breathing life into this "intangible" character. The brave and combat-ready Eiko is voiced by Toua Yukinari.

Despite the looming Terminator threat, Malcolm remains dedicated to his research on Kokoro to save humanity, all for the future of his three beloved children. Hiro Shimono voices the knowledgeable eldest son Kenta, Shizuka Ishigami voices the mischievous and brotherly second son Hiro, and Miyuki Sato voices the bold and action-oriented eldest daughter Reika. Saori Hayami voices the mysterious housekeeper Misaki, who looks after Malcolm’s children in his absence.

As Malcolm interacts with Kokoro during his research, she questions the "value of saving humanity." Struggling to find an answer, Malcolm faces inner turmoil while his children are endangered by the Terminator. Can Eiko, the resistance fighter, repel the Terminator threat? What will become of Malcolm and AI Kokoro? The animated series unfolds a compelling story.
