The teaser visual for the fourth season of the TV anime "The Rising of the Shield Hero" has been unveiled. The visual prominently features Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo, along with the Hakuko siblings, Fohl and Atla, signifying the start of a new adventure. Additionally, a teaser visual reveal video has been released on the KADOKAWA anime channel.

From July 19 to 21, at the "Anime Messe Babelsberg 2024" event in Germany, the visual was unveiled ahead of its official release, eliciting enthusiastic cheers from local fans. The event featured character designers Franziska van Wulfen and Masahiro Suwa, producer Kosuke Arai, and the band MADKID, who performed the opening theme songs up to Season 3. They participated in a talk show and a live performance.

The series is based on a popular novel posted on the website "Shousetsuka ni Narou," which has surpassed 300 million page views. It tells the story of an ordinary otaku college student, Naofumi Iwatani, who is suddenly summoned to another world. Tasked with the mission of becoming one of the Four Cardinal Heroes wielding the Shield, he must fend off the calamity known as the "Waves" that brings chaos to the world. Betrayed by his companions, Naofumi loses everything, including his money and status, and must rise from the depths of despair.
