From the upcoming original full-length animated film "Kimi no iro: The Colors Within" (releasing on August 30), directed by Naoko Yamada, known for "K-On! The Movie" (2011) and "A Silent Voice: The Movie" (2016), a special dance PV featuring the main characters has been revealed.

The story follows Totuko, a high school student, her schoolmate Kimi, and a music-loving boy named Rui who meet at an old bookstore and form a band. While each of them carries their own unspoken troubles, they connect through music.

The newly released vertical dance PV features Totuko, Kimi, and Rui dancing to the movie song "Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Amen," along with a white cat from the film. The PV captures the fun choreography and the three characters enjoying themselves.

The choreography was created by Powerpuff Boys, who have choreographed popular music videos like SEKAI NO OWARI's "Habit" and ano's "Chu, Diversity."

In collaboration with Director Yamada, Powerpuff Boys designed the dance, which Yamada herself storyboarded, and character designer and animation director Takashi Kojima drew all the cuts.

Regarding the dance, Powerpuff Boys commented, "The floating movements reminiscent of space and planets, while respecting the lyrics, are full of fun when you dance them, so please try dancing along."

Director Yamada explained the PV's background, saying, "This short video shows Totuko, Kimi, and Rui dancing as they become friends and get excited together. Each character has their own unique dance style, which is very cute. Takashi Kojima's playful touch adds sparkle to Totuko and friends' precious moments. Dancing together looks so fun!"

On the 16th of each month, a YouTube series titled "Your Color color palette," delving into the charms of the film, is being serialized on the TOHO MOVIE Channel. Today (16th) at 8 PM, a segment featuring the voices of the three main characters, Sayu Suzukawa, Akari Takaishi, and Taisei Kido, will be released.

Additionally, starting at midnight on the 17th, the movie song "Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Amen" will be available for streaming.
