Episode 5 Story

After hearing from Aoi about Shinpei and Yukari's past, Satoko becomes inexplicably irritated. Struggling to understand her feelings, she goes to fetch firewood but ends up trapped in a storage shed with Shinpei. There, she finally opens up to him about her mission.

Introduction

Set during the Meiji era, the story follows Satoko Kirigaya, a beautiful young woman from a noble family who has been told she has little time left to live. She dreams of marrying into a prestigious family to make her father proud. However, one night, she is abducted as part of a mysterious plot. Desperate to survive, she proposes marriage to Shinpei Goto, an assassin who appears before her, telling him, "Let's get married. If you're with me, you'll have everything." Thus begins a forbidden romance between an assassin whose love becomes obsessive and a young woman torn between her duty and her feelings for him.
