Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara Unveils New Teaser and Character Voices

New information has been revealed for Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara, the 2027 anime from Toei Animation and Tsuburaya Productions. A third key visual and new teaser trailer have been released, with the video featuring the first character voices for Maru, played by Aya Yamane, and Coco, voiced by Karin Takahashi.

New Teaser Introduces Maru and Coco's Voices

The third key visual shows Coco, a girl from the Aidara Tribe, gently reaching out toward the kaiju GIILA with a smile.

The newly released teaser uses footage from the anime and marks the first time the voices of Maru and Coco have been heard.

Maru is a boy who hunts kaiju to make a living in a society where the real and virtual worlds coexist, while Coco is a girl who hopes to live alongside kaiju.

Maru and Coco Search for a Way to Live Together

The story is set in 2070, after a supernova causes multiple space stations to crash to Earth in an event known as the Skyfall Disaster.

Unknown bacteria brought from space begin eroding or assimilating matter on Earth, giving rise to new lifeforms known as Transcendent Creatures. Humanity calls the dangerous areas inhabited by these creatures the Zone and builds an isolated society known as the City.

Maru lives peacefully in the City, while Coco is a member of the Aidara Tribe left behind in the Zone. Despite their opposing circumstances, the two begin searching for a way to live together.
