Disney Twisted-Wonderland Anime Sequel Teaser Reveals Leona’s Ominous “Scheme,” Fairouz Ai Cast as Yuka Hirasaka

A teaser trailer and preview images have been released for the Disney+ original series Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Savanaclaw, which will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning in December 2026. It was also announced that Fairouz Ai will voice Yuka Hirasaka. The December 2026 release window for Episode of Savanaclaw had previously been announced alongside a teaser visual.

The series is based on Disney Twisted-Wonderland, a school adventure game featuring characters inspired by the villains of Disney films. Manga artist Yana Toboso, known for Black Butler, created the original concept and also handles the main scenario and character designs.

The first installment, Episode of Heartslabyul, began streaming in October 2025 and reached No. 1 on X trends in Japan shortly after its debut. Based on viewing figures during its first seven days of streaming, it also became the most-watched Japan-originated animated title on Disney+ worldwide. The series was later nominated for Best Isekai Anime at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2026.

The story takes place at Night Raven College, a prestigious academy for training mages that is home to seven dorms modeled after the legendary figures known as the Great Seven. The sequel centers on Savanaclaw, a dorm inspired by the indomitable spirit of the King of Beasts from Disney Animation’s The Lion King. Previously released promotional material also confirmed Leona Kingscholar, Ruggie Bucchi, and Jack Howl as the central Savanaclaw characters.

The newly released footage highlights the determination and complicated emotions hidden within Savanaclaw housewarden Leona Kingscholar (CV: Yuichiro Umehara), who possesses exceptional magical abilities despite his aversion to putting in effort.

“Life is unfair,” Leona says, seemingly reflecting on the loneliness he has carried since childhood as a second prince. He goes on to declare, “There are plenty of things in this world that you can’t change no matter how hard you try. That’s exactly why I’ll use whatever means necessary.”

Fellow Savanaclaw student Ruggie Bucchi (CV: Aoi Ichikawa) flashes a smile that suggests he is plotting something, while Jack Howl (CV: Taito Ban) looks unconvinced. When Leona asks, “How’s the plan going?” Ruggie replies, “Of course, everything’s going smoothly, Leona,” foreshadowing the beginning of an ominous scheme involving the Savanaclaw students.

The footage also shows Grim (CV: Noriaki Sugiyama), Heartslabyul housewarden Riddle Rosehearts (CV: Natsuki Hanae), Ace Trappola (CV: Seiichiro Yamashita), Deuce Spade (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi), and Cater Diamond (CV: Tatsuyuki Kobayashi) reacting in surprise to a strange turn of events. Trey Clover (CV: Ryota Suzuki) is also shown collapsed on the ground, his face contorted in pain.

Yuka Hirasaka, who makes her first appearance in the footage, is a high school student who was active in her school’s judo club. On her way home from a tournament, she encounters a mysterious carriage and finds herself transported to Twisted-Wonderland. As she spends time at Night Raven College while searching for a way back to her original world, she becomes caught up in Leona and the others’ plot.
