Ranma 1/2 Season 3 Premieres October 3, Adds Masako Nozawa, Jun Fukuyama and More

The roles of Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami remain under wraps

Ranma 1/2 Season 3 will begin airing on the Nippon TV network on October 3, with new episodes broadcast every Saturday at 12:55 a.m. JST. A new key visual for the third season has also been unveiled. Masako Nozawa, Jun Fukuyama, Mayumi Tanaka, Saori Hayami, and Minami Tanaka have joined the additional voice cast.

The key visual places Ranma, Akane, and Ryoga at its center, surrounded by characters who will appear in Season 3.

The illustration captures the spirit of the series as a chaotic martial arts romantic comedy and further heightens anticipation for the new season.

The additional cast includes Masako Nozawa as the Grand Master(Iemoto), Jun Fukuyama as Sentaro Daimonji, and Minami Tanaka as Tsubasa Kurenai. Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami will voice characters whose names have not yet been revealed.

The series will also stream exclusively on Netflix immediately after each television broadcast.

The Grand Master leads the Daimonji School of Martial Arts Tea Ceremony and is Sentaro Daimonji’s grandmother. She encourages Sentaro to enter into an arranged marriage with someone from a distinguished family.

“When I was invited back for Season 3, I thought the head of the Drama Club might be appearing again. Then I looked at the script and was quite surprised to learn that I would be playing Sentaro Daimonji, lol.

“I was fortunate enough to take part in an episode where both the story and the character are intense and extreme. I had a great time giving the role everything I had, until my throat was sore! I hope everyone enjoys it!”

Character introduction:
Sentaro is the heir to the Daimonji School of Martial Arts Tea Ceremony. He cannot bring himself to like the prospective bride recommended by the Grand Master as part of his succession arrangements, so he is searching for a strong woman who can help him bring an end to the marriage proposal.

Character introduction:
