Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 6 Cohabitation Arc Officially Announced

It has been announced that the Cohabitation Arc of the TV anime Rent-A-Girlfriend, also known as KanoKari, will be produced as Season 6. Along with the announcement, a newly drawn Season 6 illustration by character designer Kanna Hirayama has been unveiled.

The illustration shows Kazuya, Chizuru, and Mini raising their glasses in a toast, creating a celebratory atmosphere.

About Rent-A-Girlfriend

Rent-A-Girlfriend has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2017. The story follows Kazuya Kinoshita, a hopeless college student living in Tokyo, who falls in love with Chizuru Mizuhara, an exceptionally beautiful “rental girlfriend.”

Chizuru is also a plain looking student who attends the same university, and her true identity must not be revealed to others. As Kazuya struggles to suppress his feelings for her, the two are sometimes scolded, sometimes help each other, and become entangled with family, friends, and former girlfriends in this rental romantic comedy.

The manga has surpassed 15 million copies in circulation. The first season of the anime aired in 2020, followed by Season 2 in 2022, Season 3 in 2023, and Season 4 in 2025. A live action drama adaptation was also produced in 2022. Season 5 aired from April to June 2026.
