Chiaki Kobayashi Celebrates 10th Anniversary With First Memorial Photo Book, Showcasing Venice and a Newly Revealed Physique

Voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi, known for roles such as Mash Burnedead in MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES, Stark in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, will release his commemorative photo book, Chiaki Kobayashi Debut 10th Anniversary Photo Book (Tentative) (JP: 小林千晃デビュー10周年記念写真集(仮)), on September 10. The title, including “(Tentative),” is the official product name.

A Special Photo Book Marking 10 Years of His Career

Since making his voice acting debut in 2016, Kobayashi has established himself as one of Japan’s leading young voice actors. In addition to his starring role as Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, he currently voices Okuto Nakamura in Go for It, Nakamura!

To celebrate his 10th anniversary year, Kobayashi will release a memorial photo book featuring an extensive overseas photo shoot in Venice, Italy, a destination he described as a place he had always dreamed of visiting.

Exploring Venice and Revealing a New Side of Himself

The photo book captures Kobayashi visiting famous landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge, strolling through the colorful streets of Burano Island, and enjoying carefree moments along the beaches of the popular resort destination Lido Island.

The book also highlights his love of Italian cuisine, featuring scenes of him enjoying pasta, pizza, and wine.

In addition to these natural and candid moments, the photo book presents a side of Kobayashi that fans have never seen before. Luxury hotel photo sessions showcase more mature expressions and styling, while revealing the physique he reportedly trained specifically for this project.

The publication also includes a lengthy interview reflecting on the past decade of his career, making it both a visual collection and an in depth retrospective of his journey as a voice actor.

Chiaki Kobayashi’s Comment

This marks an important milestone for me, my 10th anniversary as a voice actor, and it became the largest scale photo shoot of my career.

We traveled to Venice, a place I had always admired. The shoot was blessed with wonderful locations and wonderful people, and I hope everyone can share in that experience through this photo book.

More than anything, I would be happy if readers could feel my gratitude toward everyone who has supported me throughout these past 10 years.
Thank you very much for your support.
