A Returner's Magic Should Be Special Season 2 is set to begin broadcasting in October 2026 on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block and other networks. It was also announced that FLOW will once again perform the opening theme song, following their contribution to the first season.

Based on the popular SMARTOON series available on the digital manga and novel platform Piccoma, A Returner's Magic Should Be Special has gained a large fanbase through both its original novel and comic adaptations. The first anime season aired for 12 episodes beginning in October 2023 on TOKYO MX and other stations.

FLOW Returns With New Opening Theme “Sorrow”

FLOW revealed that they have written a brand new song titled “Sorrow” for the second season.

The band commented:

Following “GET BACK,” the opening theme for Season 1, we created a new song titled “Sorrow.” As Desir Herrman and his companions continue their increasingly intense battles after returning from the future, we wanted to express through music the strength possessed by those who have truly experienced sorrow and pain. We hope viewers will enjoy the song alongside their story.

The new opening theme is expected to reflect the emotional struggles and determination of Desir Herrman and his allies as the story enters its next stage.
