CAPCOM has announced that Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a massive expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, will launch in 2027. An introduction video has also been released.

The story will deeply involve Elder Dragons, beings said to have disaster level effects on the environment simply by existing.

New Story, Field, Monsters, and Master Rank

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will add a wide range of content, including a further story continuing from the main game, new fields and monsters, expanded hunter actions, and Master Rank as a more challenging new quest rank.

The newly released announcement trailer shows a new field featuring ruins floating in the sky, unknown monsters living there, and part of the evolved hunting action.
