Raimondo announces the upcoming "Evening Party" where Maria and Renato, alongside Aida and Placido, will be formally introduced as fiancés. At this grand event, Maria is expected to perform the first dance with Renato in front of a massive crowd of invited guests.

Having zero prior experience with dancing, Maria is overcome with anxiety. Brushing her worries aside, Aida's strict, spartan training lessons begin.
