3rd place: No Game No Life Vol. 13

In Disboard, a world where everything is decided by games, Sora and his party of heroes have reached the top floor of the Demon King’s tower, armed only with the “hope” rising from the country of the Demonia. They are finally closing in on the Demon King—but in the middle of the decisive battle, Sora is swallowed by a black pillar of light and collapses.

As everyone struggles to believe what has happened, Sora alone smiles faintly as his consciousness fades: “Now the pieces for victory are finally in place.”

And then, for some reason, she sets her sights on becoming a top idol in Japan’s largest virtual world, “Tsukuyomi”…!?
