Marriagetoxin Episode 2 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Gero Begins Matchmaking with a Marriage Swindler as His Advisor

The story and preview images for Episode 2 of the TV anime Marriagetoxin (JP: マリッジトキシン) have been revealed. This episode will air on Tuesday, April 14 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 2 Story

Gero begins his quest for marriage with Mei Kinosaki, a professional marriage swindler, serving as his advisor. Kinosaki, who claims to be able to make anyone fall in love within 30 seconds, asserts that the best way to make Gero shine in the matchmaking world is through "helping others." While Gero puzzles over how a hitman is supposed to help people, Kinosaki suggests using an underworld job brokerage site to find opportunities. One day, while the two are visiting a luxury cruise ship for a practice date, a painting is stolen. It is there that Gero encounters Kyoko Himekawa, a thief specializing in fine art who is notorious in the underworld.

Introduction

Hikaru Gero, a young man inheriting this deadly lineage, has lived his entire life in the underworld, far removed from the touch of romance. To him, the concept of "marriage" was a distant dream. However, to ensure the "Poison User" bloodline survives, the head of the Gero clan issues a cold ultimatum to Hikaru's sister: she will be forced to produce an heir.

Desperate to protect his sister and resolve the succession crisis, Hikaru crosses paths with his latest target—the master marriage swindler, Mei Kinosaki. In a sudden turn of events, Hikaru decides his best option is to get married himself and recruits Mei as his advisor right then and there.
