Yuichi Nakamura Voices Another Top-Tier Jump Character in ONE PIECE as Loki, Sparking Buzz: “So Many Blindfolded Roles Like Gojo and Loki”

Voice actor Yuichi Nakamura has been announced as the voice of the new character Loki in the Elbaf arc of the TV anime ONE PIECE, which will begin airing on Fuji TV and other networks from April 5 at 11:15 PM every Sunday.

Nakamura is widely known for playing some of the strongest characters in Weekly Shonen Jump adaptations, including Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen and Seijuro Hiko in Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story. His casting as Loki has quickly become a hot topic online.

Nakamura’s “Strongest Character” Legacy Continues

In the currently serialized original manga, the story has recently shifted focus to Loki, with his immense strength now being revealed. The newly released promotional video includes scenes featuring Loki, marking the first time his voice has been unveiled.

What Is ONE PIECE?

ONE PIECE is based on the manga of the same name, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. The story follows Monkey D Luffy, a boy who gains rubber-like abilities after eating the Gum-Gum Fruit, as he forms the Straw Hat Pirates and sets out on a grand adventure to find the legendary treasure known as One Piece, left behind by the Pirate King Gol D Roger.

The series has surpassed 600 million copies in worldwide circulation. The TV anime has been airing since 1999, while the 2022 film ONE PIECE FILM RED became a massive hit, surpassing 20.34 billion yen at the Japanese box office. In 2023, the franchise was also adapted into a live action series on Netflix.
