Takuya Seo is a quiet, socially awkward high schooler and a dedicated otaku who prefers to stay under the radar. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is suddenly approached by two of his classmates: the "gals" Kei Amane and Kotoko Ijichi.

Kei is a cool beauty who seems a bit airheaded and carries the unmistakable aura of a fellow otaku. On the other hand, Kotoko is a cheerful girl who is close not only in seating proximity but also in personal space. While Kei insists she only knows about anime because of her younger sister and is definitely "not an otaku," Takuya isn't so sure.

This rom-com follows an otaku boy and two charming, distinctly different gals as they bond and deepen their relationships through their shared hobbies. After all, the question remains: Can a gal really be kind to an otaku?
