Star Detective Precure Episode 7 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Anna Starts School and Falls Into a Strange Labyrinth, Luluka Appears

The story and preview images for Episode 6 of the new TV anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long-running Precure franchise, have been revealed. The series is set to begin airing on March 15.

Episode 7 Story

At Mikuru’s request to the school chairman, Anna Akechi is allowed to start attending the same school as her, Makoto Mirai Academy.

Anna openly tells her friendly classmates that she is a detective and begins handing out business cards for the Curett Detective Agency together with Mikuru Kobayashi. Pochitan has secretly followed along inside her bag, though the fact that they are Precure remains a secret.

During a break between classes, Anna walks through the hallway on the way to a different classroom and is surprised by how large the school building is. She and Mikuru believe they are heading toward the science room, but when they open the classroom door, they somehow end up in the gymnasium instead.

It turns out to be a “Karakuri Maze” created by the Phantom Thieves Guild member Gouemon, who has been waiting for them. When Gouemon snaps his fingers, a hole suddenly opens beneath their feet, and the two fall into a strange science laboratory in another dimension.

Learning that they cannot escape unless they find a key, Anna and Mikuru begin searching the mysterious room for clues.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
