Despite these accomplishments, he considers himself first and foremost a sushi chef.

Joji

Joji (JP: 丈治) is a swordsman of the Sorcery Bureau. His swordsmanship is highly regarded by Urita, who describes him as a “fine swordsman.”

Chiaki Soga

Chiaki Soga (JP: 曽我千晃), known as Princess Soga, has the power to foresee threats to Japan. Although she was born into a lesser branch of the Soga clan and was not expected to possess its prophetic powers, they manifested in her, possibly due to the sudden death of the previous clan head. She was childhood friends with Kunishige, Shiba, and Azami, and continued to correspond with Kunishige even after becoming the “princess.”

Akemura Soga

Akemura Soga (JP: 曽我明無良) is a gifted young swordsman and the younger brother of Chiaki Soga. He would later become known as the “Sword Master” and, wielding the Enchanted Blade Shinuchi, lead Japan to victory in the war against “Shokoku.”

Hiroto Soga

Hiroto Soga (JP: 曽我ヒロト) is a swordsman of the Soga clan who attended the Irishima Talks with Shokoku. He is the sole surviving practitioner of “Kurotsuchi,” a mystical art passed down among the men of the Soga clan that manifests only in those who have mastered swordsmanship and martial arts at the highest level.

Yoshinojo Soga

Yoshinojo Soga (JP: 曽我義之丞) is a swordsman of the Soga clan who attended the Irishima Talks with Shokoku. He possesses superhuman combat instincts, allowing him to instantly assess an opponent's abilities based on minimal information.

Ariu Mikaboshi

Ariu Mikaboshi (JP: 亜利雨・箕加星) is the crown prince of the Mikaboshi and an emissary from Shokoku/Mikaboshi who attended the Irishima Talks. He is one of six guardians who inherited “the original power” of the Mikaboshi King and protect the people and their datenseki. He wields power beyond the imagination of land-dwelling humans.

Ukizane Soga

Ukizane Soga (JP: 曽我宇几真) is a “hero” and ancestor of the Soga clan. Over a thousand years ago, he led a rebellion against the Mikaboshi, a clan of sorcerers that ruled Japan, and succeeded in defeating them. Since then, sorcery has continued to exert considerable influence behind the scenes in Japan.

Giyu Soga

Giyu Soga (JP: 曽我義勇) is Hiroto Soga's younger brother and a formidable fighter on par with Yoshinojo, the Soga clan's second-in-command. Following Hiroto's death on Irishima, he became the head of the Soga clan. His rise to leadership was a major factor behind the push to hand Chiaki over to Shokoku as a condition of the one-year ceasefire with Mikaboshi.

Roku Isayama

Roku Isayama (JP: 伊佐山六) is a swordsmith and Kunishige's father. “Roku Isayama” is not his real name, but the name he uses as a swordsmith. He casts a dark shadow over Kunishige's life.
