DanMachi Season 6 Officially Announced at 10th Anniversary Event

The anime DanMachi : Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? has officially been confirmed for Season 6. The announcement was made as a surprise during the series 10th anniversary special event held on February 7, 2026, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

Season 6 Revealed During 10th Anniversary Celebration

First broadcast in April 2015, the long running fantasy series is set in the labyrinth city of Orario and follows the adventures of the young adventurer Bell Cranel and the goddess Hestia. The newly announced sixth season marks a major new development unveiled at the milestone 10th anniversary event.

The announcement took place near the end of the evening performance, delivered through a special stage presentation that incorporated a live reading. According to reports from the venue, the reveal was met with an enthusiastic response from fans in attendance.

To coincide with the announcement, a special teaser video confirming the production of Season 6 was also released on YouTube. The video reflects on the series journey so far while building anticipation for what lies ahead.

Star Studded Event and Archive Streaming

The event, titled DANMACHI 10th Anniversary Special Event “Aedes Vesta Sacred Flame Chronicle”, was held in two parts consisting of a daytime and evening performance. The celebration featured the main cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Inori Minase, Saori Onishi, Maaya Uchida, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Chinatsu Akasaki, Haruka Chisuga, and Saori Hayami. Theme song artists such as Yuka Iguchi, Kanon Wakeshima, and sajou no hana also appeared.

The program included talk sessions, live readings, musical performances, and exhibition elements, offering fans a comprehensive celebration of the series 10 year history.

Archive streaming of both the daytime and evening performances is currently available for purchase. Each stream includes bonus footage with after talk segments. The archive will remain available until February 13, 2026, allowing fans who could not attend in person to experience the excitement of the anniversary event.

The original light novel series, written by Fujino Omori, has surpassed 20 million copies in circulation. Alongside the main story, the franchise has expanded through spin off novels, a theatrical film, and multiple manga adaptations. With Season 6 now officially in production, anticipation continues to build for the next chapter in the anime story.
