The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Reveals First 8 Minutes as Nationwide Live Stage Greeting Is Announced
To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the Haruhi Suzumiya anime series, the theatrical film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya will return to theaters for a limited two week revival screening starting February 6. Ahead of this event, the opening eight minutes and thirty nine seconds of the film have been officially released. The footage will be available for a limited time only, through March 31.

The revival screening marks a key milestone in the anniversary celebration, offering fans the opportunity to revisit the film that has long been regarded as one of the most acclaimed anime movies of its era.

In addition, a special stage greeting event will be held on February 7 at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo to celebrate the revival screening. Cast members Aya Hirano as Haruhi Suzumiya, Tomokazu Sugita as Kyon, Minori Chihara as Yuki Nagato, Yuko Goto as Mikuru Asahina, and Daisuke Ono as Itsuki Koizumi will appear together on stage as the SOS Brigade.
Tickets for the Shinjuku Wald 9 stage greeting will go on general sale starting at 10 a.m. on January 31. The event will also be broadcast live to theaters nationwide, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, excluding select locations, allowing fans across Japan to take part in the celebration in real time.
