Puella Magi Madoka Magica New Film Delayed Again as February Release Schedule Changes

The release schedule for the new Puella Magi Madoka Magica film has been changed after it was previously set for February. The completely new anime film, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising (JP: 劇場版 魔法少女まどか☆マギカ ワルプルギスの廻天), will no longer open as planned due to production related circumstances. According to the official announcement, the new release date will be revealed again within February. No specific timing has been provided at this stage.

The franchise official X account posted a detailed explanation regarding the decision. The statement reads that although the film had been scheduled for release starting February 2026, the opening period has been changed due to production related reasons. It also confirmed that further information regarding the new release date will be announced again during February 2026.

Regarding advance tickets, the announcement reassured fans that movie ticket vouchers and advance tickets already purchased will remain valid and can be used once the film is released.
