The story and preview images for Episode 1 of the TV anime Ren Arisugawa Is Actually a Girl (JP: 有栖川煉ってホントは女なんだよね。) have been revealed. This episode will air on Monday, January 5 at 1:00 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms. A less-censored version is also set to stream exclusively on OceanVeil.

Episode 1 Story

Kyohei, an unpopular college student, is struggling once again at a group date. Even when he brings up the only thing he’s proud of, the fact that he is cousins with the wildly popular male celebrity Ren Arisugawa, no one believes him and he gets brushed off as a liar.

When Kyohei returns home alone to his apartment, he finds Ren waiting for him in front of his door. Sensing that something is going on, Kyohei decides to hide Ren in his place. But when he catches a glimpse of Ren’s body in the bath, it’s clearly not what he expected. Ren is unmistakably a “girl”…!?
