Following the broadcast of Episode 24 of the anime Tougen Anki on Friday, December 26 at 11:30 p.m. (JST), it was officially announced that production has begun on the next chapter, Tougen Anki: Nikko–Kegon Falls Arc. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual for the Nikko–Kegon Falls Arc and a special promotional video commemorating the sequel’s production were released.

Tougen Anki is based on the popular manga by Yura Urushibara, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten), with total circulation exceeding 5 million copies. Drawing inspiration from the classic Japanese folktale Momotaro, the series depicts the conflict between those who inherit Oni blood and those who carry Momotaro blood. This new-generation dark hero Oni saga previously aired the Kyoto Arc beginning in July 2025, followed by the Nerima Arc starting in October.

The teaser visual features Hayate Todoroki, a newly introduced Child of Oni Gods who appears in the Nikko–Kegon Falls Arc. He is a key figure who leads the Kikoku Unit, an organization independent from the Oni Corporation to which Shiki belongs. The visual captures Hayate unleashing a blade-like Blood Eclipse Release amid swirling winds.

The commemorative PV for the sequel compiles iconic scenes from both the Kyoto and Nerima arcs, culminating in the first reveal of Hayate Todoroki’s voice. After enduring fierce battles and gradually coming to understand the deep-rooted history between Oni and Momotaro—as well as his own place within it—Shiki Ichinose encounters a new formidable figure. Is this powerful newcomer an enemy or an ally? The PV heightens anticipation for the dramatic new developments to come.
