Dragon Ball Global Character Popularity Vote Sees Dramatic Upset as Bulma Surges in Ranking
The third stage of the first ever global character popularity vote for the manga Dragon Ball has revealed its interim rankings. Son Goku leads at first place, followed by Vegeta, Son Gohan, Piccolo, and Vegito rounding out the top five. Voting will remain open until 11:59 a.m. on the eighth of this month.

Trunks (future) holds sixth place, Bardock is seventh, Android 18 is eighth, Cell is ninth, and Bulma stands at tenth. Bulma recorded a significant jump in ranking compared to her eighteenth place in the second stage’s interim results.

The eligible characters consist of 212 who appear in the original Dragon Ball manga. Fans in Japan and across the world may cast one vote per day through the special website during the voting period.

2nd Stage: Dragon Ball global character popularity poll
This worldwide vote is structured as a four stage survival competition in which the number of eligible characters decreases with each stage. After each stage ends, a revival vote is held on X, allowing a single eliminated character to re enter the competition and advance to the next stage.
The final results will be announced during a special livestream on the official Dragon Ball YouTube channel at noon on January 24, 2026.
