Fallout Season 2 will premiere globally on Prime Video on December 17, bringing the highly anticipated continuation of the worldwide hit to more than 240 countries and regions. The new season of the popular drama series, adapted from the global best-selling video game, released its Japanese full trailer, key visuals, and new scene images.

series depicts the lives of people forced to leave their once peaceful nuclear vaults and return to a radioactive wasteland shaped by the legacies of their ancestors. What awaits them is a world more complex, unusually eccentric, and intensely violent than they could have imagined.

Season 1 surpassed one hundred million viewers worldwide, ranking among Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles of all time. Season 2 begins where the previous chapter left off, moving its setting from the Mojave Wasteland to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Fans are eager to see how the game’s iconic and beloved area will be reimagined in live action.

The newly released trailer showcases large-scale action sequences, mutated creatures introducing new threats, and the arrival of Kumail Nanjiani, known for Eternals, and Macaulay Culkin, both joining the cast this season. Mystery and danger unfold across the devastated horizon.

Returning cast members include Ella Purnell as the bright and strikingly pure-hearted protagonist Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Maximus, a soldier raised by the militaristic Brotherhood of Steel, and Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, the ruthless bounty hunter wandering the wasteland longer than anyone. Kyle MacLachlan returns as Hank MacLean, Lucy’s loving father with remarkable scientific expertise, and Moisés Arias reprises his role as Lucy’s brother, Norm MacLean. Frances Turner also returns as Barb Howard, wife of Cooper Howard, The Ghoul’s former life as a legendary Hollywood star.

Season 2 introduces Justin Theroux as Robert House, the ruler of New Vegas, who plays a pivotal role in driving the story forward.

The series is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan, known for Westworld and The Peripheral, and who directed the first three episodes of Season 1. Executive producers also include Lisa Joy, Geneva Robertson-Dworet of Captain Marvel, Graham Wagner of Silicon Valley, and Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of the original Fallout game series.

Produced jointly by Amazon MGM Studios, Kilter Films, Bethesda Game Studios, and Bethesda Softworks, the series has already been renewed for Season 3.
