Kamen Rider Zeztz Filming Accident: Suit Actor Suffers Skull Fracture from Two-Meter Fall, Toei Issues Apology
Toei announced on November 6 that a suit actor was seriously injured during the filming of the Kamen Rider Zeztz tokusatsu series. The production marks the seventh entry in the Reiwa-era Kamen Rider franchise.

According to Toei’s official statement, the accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on November 6, 2025, during an action sequence rehearsal. The statement explained, “During a rehearsal for a scene in which the actor kicked off a wall while suspended in midair, suit actor Kotaro Kaji (JP: 鍜治 洸太朗) fell from a height of two meters and sustained injuries.”
Medical examination revealed that Kaji suffered a skull fracture and other serious injuries, and he is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately two weeks. Toei immediately halted filming following the incident and stated, “We are working with the staff and related companies to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.”
The company also issued an apology: “We extend our deepest sympathies to Mr. Kotaro Kaji and sincerely apologize to all parties involved and to viewers for the concern this has caused.”
The series Kamen Rider Zeztz tells the story of an ordinary young man who becomes an “invincible agent” within his dreams, defending humanity against the nightmare monsters known as “Nightmare.” The show features the franchise’s first-ever chest-mounted transformation belt, the Zeztz Driver, a design that has made a strong impression among fans.
