All New Weekly Young Jump Series to Be Translated into English and Released Worldwide Simultaneously — New Arc “BUNGO -unreal-” Begins

Shueisha’s editorial department for Weekly Young Jump announced that starting with the baseball manga BUNGO -unreal- (by Yuji Ninomiya), which launches in the magazine’s issue No. 45 released today (October 9), all upcoming new series will be translated into English and simultaneously released worldwide via the international manga app and service MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA (excluding Japan, China, and South Korea).

Although some titles from Weekly Young Jump are already available on MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA, this marks a major shift: from now on, all new serializations will be distributed globally at the same time, aiming to expand the readership abroad and create international hits. (Some works may be excluded from publication.)

Launched in 2019, MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA publishes serial and one-shot manga from Weekly Shonen Jump and Shonen Jump+ in multiple languages simultaneously with Japan. Its mission is to bring Japan’s most exciting manga to global readers and to cultivate a manga-reading culture worldwide.

The Weekly Young Jump editorial team stated:
“We aim to share the richness and depth of manga with readers around the world, leveraging the expressive diversity and wide variety of stories we’ve developed as a seinen magazine. We hope readers will enjoy the thrill of weekly serialization together with Japan.”

■Synopsis of BUNGO -unreal-
Bungo Ishihama, who grew up in a town without a youth baseball team, spends his days practicing “wall ball” alone. One day, fate brings him together with Yukio Noda, a member of Japan’s national youth baseball team. The two join the powerhouse middle school team Seio Senior and clash with rival teams in pursuit of the top. Years later, they advance to high school, setting their sights on an audacious goal: winning the Koshien national tournament five years in a row.

A fierce and passionate “raptor-style” baseball saga begins—unleashing energy, emotion, and intensity as the story enters its high school chapter.
