Perfume to Perform Opening Theme for To Your Eternity Season 3; New PV Reveals Song “Fumetsu no Anata”

Perfume will perform the opening theme for the TV anime To Your Eternity Season 3, which begins airing on October 4. The techno-pop unit, set to go on hiatus later this year, unveiled the theme song “Fumetsu no Anata” in the newly released second promotional video.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary and 20 years since their major debut, Perfume gladly accepted the offer as long-time fans of the series. The new track was written and composed by Perfume’s long-time producer Yasutaka Nakata.

The PV opens with striking scenes of protagonist Fushi and newcomer Mizuha. It also highlights reunions with March, Gugu, Bon, and the immortal trio from the past arc, along with glimpses of Fushi’s school life in the present world with Yuuki and other companions.

However, looming enemies force Fushi and his allies to make decisions that will shape the future. The mysterious true intentions of the Observer are hinted at, setting the stage for Season 3’s larger-scale narrative.

Additional cast members have also been announced: Shizuka Ito will voice Izumi, Mizuha’s mother; Shinichiro Miki will play her father Itsuki; Rumi Okubo will portray Mimori, a girl who becomes a key to unraveling the enemy’s mystery; and Tasuku Hatanaka will play her stepbrother Hirotoshi.
