Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 follows the story of Hanako-kun, the seventh of Kamome Academy's Seven Mysteries, known as "Hanako of the Toilet," along with Nene Yashiro, the girl who has formed a bond with him, and Kou Minamoto, a young exorcist. Together, they work tirelessly to restore the altered rumors of the Seven Mysteries and other supernatural phenomena.
One day, Hanako-kun reveals, "There's a traitor among the Seven Mysteries," prompting Nene and her friends to uncover the traitor's identity by destroying the yorishiro (vessels) of the Seven Mysteries. Having already destroyed the Second Mystery, "The Misaki Stairs," and the Fifth Mystery, "The 4 O'clock Library," only five mysteries remain, including "Hanako of the Toilet."
Meanwhile, Hanako-kun's younger brother, Tsukasa, teams up with Sakura Nanamine, Natsuhiko Hyuga, and Mitsuba, who has now become the Third Mystery, "The Hell of Mirrors," to approach the remaining Seven Mysteries that Nene and her friends have yet to encounter.
