Introduction to Uma Musume Cinderella Gray

Currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump with over 8 million copies in circulation, the manga adaptation of Uma Musume Cinderella Gray starring Oguri Cap finally receives its anime adaptation. At the declining Kasamatsu Training Center Academy, a single Uma Musume appears—her name is Oguri Cap. Her overwhelming running overturns every convention, and the gray-haired girl, soon to be called a “monster,” begins to carve out a new legend. A Cinderella youth story of racing has finally begun!

About of the Japan Cup

Founded in 1981 with the goal of “producing strong horses that can compete on a global scale,” the Japan Cup was established to invite powerful horses from overseas to race against Japan’s thoroughbreds. The competition takes place in late November at Tokyo Racecourse on turf over a distance of 2,400 meters.

The episode being broadcast this time is based on the 8th Japan Cup, which took place on November 27, 1988.
